JANUARY 2018
EVA WOLFE = AGE 9
Eva is a member of our Musical Theater Cast 2018. This will be her second production with us and she is already taking a leading role. We recognize Eva as star of the month for January, because she is always enthusiastic and ready to have fun in class but comes prepared and ready for rehearsals too. If she is assigned a song, a script or choreography, she comes back the next week, prepared and ready. She takes direction well, when we are rehearsing our characters, memorizing her parts and works great with her cast mates. Taking a lead role in a show isn't easy because you not only have to know your part, but also know where everyone else is and everything that's going on in the story and Eva never fails at being on top of it.
GREAT JOB EVA!!!!
We look forward to seeing you grow in your MUSICAL THEATER
TRIPLE THREAT skills!
HUNTER YEUNG - AGE 6
We recognize Hunter as star of the month for the Beginning Ballet & Tap class. This is Hunter's first Dance class, and we are excited to see where he goes with his dancing. He is extremely talented at his age and is a joy to teach. He is already mastering his extensions, jumps and turns like a pro. No matter what he is working on, his form, technique and ability are above and beyond his 6 years. I feel lucky to be his first Ballet & Tap teacher and see great things for him in the future. Hunter is also a member of our Musical Theater Cast this season and brings a lot of personality and fun to our classes and the stage. It looks like Hunter is destined for the stage.
GREAT JOB HUNTER!!!
It will be exciting to see where you go with your skills.
FEBRUARY 2018

AVERY WILEMON AGE 5

Avery joined our dance program at age 4 and loved Tap dancing. She has been taking Ballet now also and has improved a lot with her hard work. She has gained many new skills, has wonderful flexibility, beautiful ballet feet and arms and always offers up her joyful smiles as she dances. It is amazing how far she has come in just one year and we already see the makings of a lovely dancer. When it comes to tap dancing, Avery is advancing quickly, she has great musicality and understands how to make the rhythms with her feet and counting the beats. She is a joy to teach and a positive and fun member of this class.

Congratulations Avery - we are so happy Grandma got to see your talents.

AVERY ALSO DANCED IN OUR HOLIDAY MUSICAL WITH OTHER PRESCHOOLERS
NATALIE CHUA AGE 5
GREAT JOB !!!
Natalie joined us for her first dance classes this year and appears to be a natural. She embraces everything we teach and always tries her best. She is the first one to volunteer when learning something new. I have seen so much progress in a very short time with her flexibility, placement, memory of position and terminology and her grace and posture. She is a quick learner, always happy and makes a great partner to her fellow dancers.
GREAT JOB NATALIE, KEEP DANCING!!!!!!
MARCH 2018
DIANA LAMB AGE 5
Diana started dancing with us when she was a toddler in our Parent & Me class. She took to dancing like a natural performer and pretty soon she advanced to our preschool Ballet & Tap class. From there she showed skill and a willingness to learn and grow and moved up again into our Kinder Ballet and Tap class. She also took a summer tap class with us and advanced in her mastery and level of primary tap class. She is has improved so much, she is now approaching the next level and we are excited to see where she takes her dancing. In Ballet, she works hard, always pushes through a challenge like balancing and flexibility and is so fun to be in class with. All the other dancers enjoy her upbeat spirit and smiles. She is exceptional in her Musicality skills, perhaps that comes too from having a Mom who is a musician.
I am very proud that Diana has grown so much throughout her years of dancing with us.
GREAT JOB DIANA!!!!
CHLOE LAI  7 YEARS OLD
Chloe is being recognized from our Musical Theater Class. She has performed in several of our shows now and is becoming a more vibrant memeber of our casts. When she joined us in the beginning, she was quiet and shy, but over the past couple of years, she has blossomed and become more confident. Now she takes on lead roles with speaking parts and does a great job on stage. She is patient, kind to her cast mates and always comes to rehearsals prepared to do her best. She is someone I can rely on to learn new songs and scripts and has stepped out of her comfort zone to take on bigger parts. I am very proud of Chloe for giving it her best and always being willing to try something new.
GREAT JOB CHLOE, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!

Braxtin has been taking Dance classes with VTA twice a week and has proven to have a lot of talent. She started in our Combo class, learning choreography and then added a ballet class where she has proven her desire to learn and grow with her dancing. She is focused in class, always tries her best even when learning something new for the first time and is improving greatly. Braxtin has strong extensions, a gift for turns and has increased her flexibility. I am always excited to see how she takes on new challenges in our classes and the patience she shows in learning. GREAT JOB BRAXTIN !!!
ALICE THOMASSEN
Alice is a student in our Beginning Ballet & Tap class and is not only a good friend to her classmates, but is always ready to try new things and learn. She shows up every class, looking like a ballerina in proper dancer attire, she has improved her flexibility and placement and always shows proper technique. Alice is a great student as she really wants to do her best and anyone who knows MS. Joanne, knows that that is what I always requests of all my dancers. I am very proud of Alice, who never gives up on a challenge, is always sweet and kind and always shows me HER BEST!

REAGAN SHEN-KAO
Reagan is the youngest member of our MUSICAL THEATER PROGRAM. He is being recognized for his dedication to learning songs, always being in the right place at the right time on stage, remembering his part in our plays, and always listening to directions. Ms. Joanne always says, if she had a classroom full of Reagan's she would be able to whisper and still be heard. Reagan has been onstage in several of our musical shows and I am very proud of how well he works with the older kids. He always sings out and has a confident voice when speaking.
GREAT JOB REAGAN !!!! WAY TO GO BUDDY !!!!
SOPHIA THOMASSEN
Sophia is a member of our Musical Theater cast and is currently working on our final performance project. I am so proud of Sophia because of her dedication to learning all the material. She takes it home after class and shows up ready for the next week. She has a lovely singing voice, is enthusiastic about our shows, helps other cast members with learning the songs, and is a good performer. We look forward to seeing Sophia grow with her onstage experiences and feel lucky to have her in our cast.
