HOMESCHOOL THEATER ARTS
Welcome to our new Performing Arts Program for Homeschool familes. Our mission is to provide a fun and growing experience in all aspects of theater. We aim to inspire the future innovators of theater and storytelling, and understand that each student has unique qualities to contribute to our team projects. Our Homeschool students will learn the skills associated with Theater Acting and improve their speaking and performance abilities over time. Each session brings new lessons, new experiences and a better understanding of presentation and self-awareness.
At Katy JR Acting Academy, we write and create all our own stories and material and give our students the chance to perform in-front of an audience, giving them the self confidence to speak out in their authentic way. Our creative lesson plans are carefully thought out and created with growth in mind. We offer a nurturing and reasuring teaching style and give self expression the hot seat.
We offer a space where students can be social with their peers in an expressive enivironment. Our specialized instruction style focuses on the individual qualities in each student. We foster creative expression and inspire imaginations beyond the academic realm. Students in Theater benefit through confidence boosting, communication skills and creative play. We help build empathy through character exploration and an understanding of differences. We help improve public speaking and build self and social awareness. We work in a collaborative classroom in a supportive approach. Our hope is we can help build friendships and confidence as kids work in teams and learn about cooperation in a group setting.
