When my little Kristen told me that she wanted to pursue acting, I didn't know where to go. Luckily, a good friend referred me to Voors Theater Arts. I am so impressed with the quality, variety of material and activities that Joanne Voors is teaching the kids. Most of all, the level of care and very personalized experience that she provides, not just for my daughter, but also for kids of all ages. Her level of knowledge and experience is shown in the performances that she so carefully develops. Kristen truly enjoyed her classes. It has been a true blessing to be a part of Joanne's theater group.

My two kids attended The Summer Musical Theater Camp for several years and I couldn't believe how confident they were on stage. This confidence gained through their theater camp experience made such a difference throughout the school year as they both had oral presentations and activities involving speaking infront of their classmates. They embraced each experience with self-assurance and pride and a strong sense of independence.

Voors Theater Arts offers a terrific camp with great instruction. The kids were involved in everything from art projects to singing, dancing, and writing parts of the show. My son learned so much about theater and the show was a lot of fun. I never thought I would see my son acting and being up on stage singing, but he did it all. He had a really great summer and gained so much confidence around the other kids. He came home full of stories and somehow the director managed to surprise the kids each day and inspired them to be creative. We will be back for our third year.

FROM THE FAN FAMILY – KATY TEXAS

Voors Theatre Arts is my son Daniel's favorite place to go. He has been with VTA since 2022, when they opened their Theater classes in Katy. I feel so lucky that a friend referred us to this program because our son has been growing with them for two years. We didn’t know anything about them because they were new to Texas after moving from Los Angeles in 2020. There were no reviews, locally, so I wrote an email to Mrs. Joanne, and her warm response made us want to try her classes. This was a great choice we made because it turned out to be the best class for Daniel. My son loved the classes and learned a lot. He has continued improving and learning new skills with Voors Theatre Arts over the last two years and will continue with next year’s season. Mrs. Joanne is patient and skillful and she puts her heart into students and wants them to improve and be challenged so they can move forward. She not only teaches them theatre knowledge, but she also teaches them how to be great human beings. She is a role model for kids. I like her teaching style, and she also writes her own, original scripts for each Theater production. I love this because it can teach kids creativity. They learn how to work together to put a show together, learn responsibility, learn leadership, learn speaking skills, and learn to step out of their comfort zone to try something new. My son Daniel learned enormously from Voors Theatre Arts. Mrs Joanne helped him excel in his performance and shine on the stage. He was cast as Charlie in Willy Wonka in his elementary school,  Horton in Seussical the Musical in a summer theatre camp, Simba in another summer camp’s The Lion King, and many more main characters. We can see Daniel’s growth and improvement with his acting from standing still to more movement. His voice became projected, and his acting became more emotional. The skills he has learned from Voors Theatre Arts helped him in public speaking competitions, and  when he entered his first competition, competing against 43 other kids, he made it into the finals. We didn’t expect he would win, so we actually left after he competed. The next day, we were surprised that he had gotten second in the middle school tournament and he’s just in 6th grade. We know he won that placement, because of the skill he learned from Voors theatre arts. After working with them for two years, my son is fully prepared to speak in front of people. Shy is never in his dictionary! I write this review from deep in my heart; I would like to recommend these programs to anyone who wants their kids to enjoy speaking in front of people and gain confidence to express themselves.

My daughter loved going to camp every day. The director was well organized, parents were well informed and councilors were friendly and supportive with the children. I was impressed with the creative thought that went into every detail of the camp experience. The camp day was well rounded and the kids had a great time with all their activities each day. We will be back again next year as my daughter already told me she is going no matter what. I was happy that she had a great time and that she made some new friends. We were blown away by the performance at the end of the camp, and Ms. Joanne went out of her way to give families a full and complete experience. We loved our special evening of theater and were so impressed by our child's abilities in performing on stage. This was her first time and we felt very proud and we didn't stop talking about Theater camp all summer.
